Build your own LED Sandglass Timer...

And discover how modern electronics, sensors, and LED displays work!

Looking for a rewarding electronics project? The LED Sandglass Timer electronics kit is an intermediate to advanced DIY build designed for makers who want to develop real soldering skills while creating something genuinely unique. The kit comes with a step-by-step instruction manual packed with photos and build tips to help ensure you succeed with this project.

You'll assemble a fully functional gravity-sensing sandglass timer featuring dual LED dot matrix displays, smooth animated "falling sand", an adjustable 1–99 minute timer, and vivid red, green or blue LEDs. It's a fascinating way to explore how modern electronics, sensors and microcontrollers work together to create an interactive device.

Once you've completed the build, you'll have a striking electronic sandglass that looks fantastic on any desk or workbench. Simply flip it over and watch the glowing LED "sand" begin falling just like a traditional sandglass. Whether you're timing study sessions, work breaks, cooking, or simply showing off your latest project, it's a build you'll be proud to display—and even prouder to say you built yourself.
